Trends towards liberalization, privatization and digitalization are transforming the boundaries of the postal sector. To ensure its stakeholders can take advantage of these emerging opportunities, the UPU is strengthening cooperation and engagement among wider postal sector players.  As a next step, the UPU will host a High-Level Forum on wider postal sector engagement at its Berne, Switzerland, headquarters on 13 February 2020. The outcomes of the forum will help the UPU develop a possible roadmap for accelerating the opening of the UPU to external stakeholders.

The Universal Postal Union is a UN specialized agency with its headquarters in the Swiss capital Berne. Established in 1874, it is one of the world’s oldest international organizations and is the primary forum for cooperation between postal sector players.
